Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Alleghany County, Virginia. The job is on a road and bridge project. Your main tasks: • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish Requirements: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Contact us to fix an interview.
