Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height You will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
