Gantry crane operator wanted in West Dunbartonshire

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You will work on a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • A good head for heights for tower crane work The role involves: • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. £2,250 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
