Overlocker operator • City of Petersburg, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring an overlocker operator in City of Petersburg, Virginia. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
