We are recruiting: we are hiring a bread baker in Saint Martin Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics On the job you will handle: • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
