Join our team: argon arc welder (North Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Dickey County, North Dakota. You will work on a structural steel site. The role involves inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection 5+ years on the tools preferred. $18 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
