Heavy equipment operator wanted in Jackson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Jackson County, Michigan. You will work at a road and highway construction project. You should have: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat Day to day you will lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers.
