Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat trimmer in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. On a typical shift you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; season and marinate meat on request. What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
