HVAC-R technician — Southeast Fairbanks Census Area

Vacancy available: we are hiring a HVAC-R technician in Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Alaska. Requirements: • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC • Valid driving licence for field call-outs • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds On the job you will handle: • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch Six days a week, one day off.
