The role involves clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding.
