Vertical transportation technician • Accomack County, Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Accomack County, Virginia. The job is in a residential tower block. Day-to-day duties: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance Part-time with flexible hours. $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
