Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Union County, Illinois. You will be based on a structural steel site. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. You should have: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
