Argon arc welder wanted in Monmouthshire

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Monmouthshire, Wales. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
