Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Saline County, Illinois. You will work in the profile cutting and welding bay. Requirements: • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Your main tasks: • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents • Fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
