Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, England. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Your main tasks: • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone Full-time, day shift.
