Excavator operator • East Riding of Yorkshire, England

We are recruiting: we are hiring an excavator operator in East Riding of Yorkshire, England. You will work in an open-cast mine. What we are looking for: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise The role involves: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift Part-time with flexible hours.
