Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Hart County

Join our team: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Hart County, Kentucky. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Overtime paid at a premium rate.
