Argon arc welder wanted in Washington County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Washington County, Texas. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
