Escalator technician • Umuahia South, Abia State

Great opportunity: we are hiring an escalator technician in Umuahia South, Abia State. You will work in a machine room on the rooftop. The role involves: • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics 6+ years on the tools preferred.
