Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Derry City and Strabane, Northern Ireland. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Day to day you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
