Tyre and wheel fitter — Kankakee County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tyre and wheel fitter in Kankakee County, Illinois. You will be based in a commercial truck tyre depot. Ideal candidate: • Confident operating a tyre changer and wheel balancer • Basic record-keeping and customer-facing skills Your main tasks: • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Torque the wheel nuts to spec with a torque wrench • Carry out wheel alignment and adjust camber and toe • Vulcanize larger cuts on commercial tyres • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Handle truck and bus tyres, including split-rim assemblies Pay around $2,500 per month, based on your experience.
