Now hiring: we are hiring a PVC window installer in Rowan County, Kentucky. Day-to-day duties: • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame • Wrap, label and load finished units for delivery without scratching the profile • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents What we are looking for: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
