Pipe TIG welder — Anderson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Anderson County, Tennessee. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
