Immediate opening: steel fixer (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Randolph County, Illinois. You will be based on a commercial tower construction site. Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
