Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Conwy, Wales. You will be based at a container port. Your main tasks: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles 3+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
