Bar bender and fixer — Maui County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Maui County, Hawaii. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Day-to-day duties: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
