Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Douglas County, Washington. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 2+ years on the tools preferred.
