Press machine operator — City of Fairfax

Now hiring: we are hiring a press machine operator in City of Fairfax, Virginia. Day to day you will fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
