The role involves clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
