Industrial sewing operator wanted in Botetourt County

Join our team: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Botetourt County, Virginia. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus On the job you will handle: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
