Vacancy available: gang bricklayer (Alabama)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Jefferson County, Alabama. Day to day you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) 6+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
