Now hiring: we are hiring a production welder in Atchison County, Kansas. The role involves read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. What we are looking for: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $120 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
