Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Day-to-day duties: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
