Brick and block layer • Rimi, Katsina State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Rimi, Katsina State. You will be based on a new-build development. Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
