Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Wabasha County, Minnesota. You will work in a garment export house. Day to day you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. You should have: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets 2+ years on the tools preferred.
