Urgent requirement: fabricator-welder (Iowa)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Decatur County, Iowa. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Rotating shifts.
