Rigger wanted in Montcalm County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rigger in Montcalm County, Michigan. Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
