Sewing machine operator wanted in Livingston County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Livingston County, New York. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently The role involves: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line 3+ years on the tools preferred.
