We are recruiting: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Cleburne County, Alabama. The job is in a busy laundry. Day to day you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; give each garment a final press before packing. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Six days a week, one day off.
