Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Cuming County, Nebraska. The role involves fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Part-time with flexible hours.
