Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Dallas County, Iowa. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Day to day you will mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
