Furnace operator • Boulder County, Colorado

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Boulder County, Colorado. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
