Gas pipe fitter — Knox County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Knox County, Illinois. You will work on residential and apartment building sites. On a typical shift you will braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections. You should have: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Able to read isometric and site drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off.
