We are recruiting: we are hiring a short order cook in Somerset County, Maine. The role involves: • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes • Follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces • Marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat Ideal candidate: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Good teamwork and clear communication under pressure • 2+ years' experience as a cook in a busy kitchen 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
