Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in Placer County, California. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day-to-day duties: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
