Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances On the job you will handle: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
