Pipe tig welder — Hansford County

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Hansford County, Texas. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Six days a week, one day off.
