Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Sutton County, Texas. On a typical shift you will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Part-time with flexible hours.
