Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Kalkaska County, Michigan. You will be based on a new-build development. On a typical shift you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
