Steel fixing chargehand • Allen County, Ohio

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Allen County, Ohio. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Requirements: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
